Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 May 2026

The short version

We use cookies minimally and only for what's strictly necessary to run the platform. There are no advertising cookies, no social media trackers, and no third-party analytics on Dextes. The only cookie we set is a session cookie that keeps you logged in.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies are used for a range of purposes - from keeping you logged in, to tracking your behavior across the web for advertising.

Dextes only uses the former: functional cookies that make the platform work.

2. Cookies we use

We use exactly one type of cookie:

CookiePurposeDurationType
Dextes_sessionKeeps you authenticated after loginSession / 30 daysEssential

This cookie is set when you log in and is cleared when you log out or it expires. It contains a secure, server-side session identifier - not personal data.

3. What we do NOT use

To be explicit about what is not present on Dextes:

  • No Google Analytics - we do not use Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics services
  • No advertising cookies - we do not run retargeting or ad campaigns that set cookies
  • No social media trackers - no Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar
  • No third-party tracking - we do not embed any third-party scripts that track your browsing behavior

4. Third-party cookies

Because we don't embed third-party tracking scripts, you will not receive third-party cookies from using Dextes.

The only external service that may set a cookie in rare cases is our infrastructure provider (for load balancing or DDoS protection). These are strictly technical in nature and contain no personal information.

5. How to control cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Here's how in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Note that if you delete or block the session cookie, you will be logged out of Dextes and will need to log in again.

6. Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce new cookies (for example, if we add an analytics tool), we will update this policy and notify you before the change takes effect. We're committed to keeping this page accurate and up to date.
